Coconut milk is mainly used in Thai and Indian cuisines to prepare sauces or side dishes. It is also excellent in smoothies, ice creams, puddings, creams and soups. It is suitable for the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as Piña Colada. However, it can also be consumed directly dried.
Coconut milk is obtained by pressing the flesh of coconuts. It is not coconut water. Dried coconut milk contains 60 to 65% coconut oil and is best dissolved in warm or hot water. For mixing, we can use a blender, shaker or just a fork. Depending on the desired weight, mix 1 to 3 teaspoons of milk with about 200 ml of warm water.
