Tulsi Cinnamon Giloy Tea

It has a delicious spicy taste. Three types of Tusli herbs (Vana, Krishna and Rama) are mixed with liquorice and Amrita ( also called Guduchi or in India by its original name Giloy). The spicy flavour is enhanced by black pepper.

Tulsi or holy basil is one of the most famous Ayurvedic herbs. It is also called the “elixir of life” and has been used for thousands of years for its beneficial effects. It is an adaptogenic herb that supports the immune and respiratory systems, heart function, contributes to physical activity and greater vitality. It is a powerful antioxidant.

Amrita (Guduchi or also Giloy) supports immunity, the respiratory system, lipid metabolism, normal blood sugar levels and is one of the adaptogens.

Cinnamon is one of the antioxidants, supports digestion and the respiratory system. Licorice supports the nervous system, immunity and respiratory system function.

Dosage

Use one infusion bag for one or two cups or a small teapot.

Directions

Pour 200 to 300 ml of boiling water over 1 tea bag and leave to infuse for 3 – 5 minutes, depending on how much aromatic and strong tea you want. It is not recommended to drink with milk. Suitable for drinking throughout the day, as it does not contain caffeine. Drink 2 to 3 cups a day for maximum effect.

Directions (Iced Tea): Pour 2 cups of boiling water over 5 tea bags and steep for 20 minutes. Remove tea bags and add 2 cups of cold water. Refrigerate to cool, and pour over ice. Drink 3 to 5 cups per day for maximum effect.
