Tulsi or holy basil originates from India. Tulsi is distinguished above all by its scent and effects. In India, it was dedicated to the god Krishna and was supposed to protect against death, disease and misfortune as a sacrifice. Tulsi has a multitude of health benefits, including an anti-stress effect – overall calming and immunity-boosting. It has antioxidant, antibacterial and antiparasitic effects.
